Home Addition DIY Project - Exterior Part 3

Front Siding

As discussed in a previous post decided to change the siding on the front of the house because we wanted to change to a more green color than tan. We had 5 squares of siding to put up on the front. It was installed with 1 1/2 inch roof nails. I really looks great and we like the color so much better.

Fascia Board

The fascia board is made with cement siding cut down to the right width. We painted the new fascia white to match the original fascia, and in the spring the other parts are getting repainted. The pieces are nailed up with galvanized ring shank nails. The worst part of the job is reaching the top of the gable end to get the nails drove in. Everything on the exterior is done for the addition and it’s been a long road but it’s done!
