Wall Sheathing
All the full sheets of OSB sheathing were installed on the walls. It was screwed up with the same 1-3/4" screws used on the roof and sub-floor. A great tip for installing wall sheeting is to screw a 2X4 below where the sheathing goes to set it on while you screw it in (see the bottom photos). The outer shell is coming together nicely and it makes the space look bigger than before. Also, if you are wondering the green sheet was the bottom of a stack so the manufacture sprayed it green while painting the edges. Next step in the framing will be to cut the pieces to cover the rest of the outside and frame in the top of the gable. However, next weeks post will most likely cover the shingle install process.
Fall Break
We still made some progress even though we took a little break this week and did some fall activities. I always love a trip to the apple orchard and pumpkin patch with the family. I hope you are enjoying the season.
