My daughter and I worked on the truck today. She helped me do a CSFI(central injection) to MPFI(multi port) swap. This fixes the common issues with the fuel injectors on this truck. With all the gas in the oil we think the injection was dumping gas into a couple cylinders.
We fround a leaking spot in the front of the upper intake and the bolts were loose.
Taking out the old nasty injection. I found some injection valves that were clogged and rusted.
After we got it all back together we decided to try and start it. We put a battery on it and gas in the tank. It doesn’t want to start yet. Next I am doing a complete tune up to make sure we have strong fire to the engine. Truck turns over good and has good oil pressure.
